Willie Mullins is going for a hat-trick in this race but his representative this year, Quel Esprit, has to prove he has the necessary pace under today's conditions having looked a thorough stayer so far. Rite Of Passage is obviously very promising but it is not hard to pick holes in his hurdling form so far while the unbeaten Peddlers Cross has to prove his stamina. Preference is for SUMMIT MEETING, who has rather slipped under the radar but beat smart sorts when gaining both his hurdling wins and should find this test ideal.[Adrian Cook]
