Spotlight :
Matured into a high-class chaser this season, putting up a career-best performance when a ready winner under a big weight in Boylesports.com Gold Cup over C&D in December (form franked by second); that run and previous second to Tranquil Sea were particularly commendable given that he has always seemed best served by the quicker ground he will encounter here.

Spotlight :
Stays 3m but may well prove ideally served by the return to shorter having not really lasted home after trying to match strides with Denman in the Hennessy and Kauto Star in the King George (wore cheekpieces both times) and gone close over about this trip here twice early in chasing career; something to find on official figures but Barry Geraghty prefers him to Jack The Giant and Petit Robin.

Spotlight :
Grade 1 novice hurdle winner two seasons ago and has really got his act together over fences this season, confidently ridden to land the Paddy Power from Poquelin here and scoring his third Graded win of the season at Leopardstown last month; can play a big part with trip and ground to suit.

Spotlight :
Joint-top on BHA figures but not really fired this season, albeit doing well to finish so close to Albertas Run and Planet Of Sound at Ascot (has best of weights now) and raced at inappropriate trips (3m/2m1f) since; tends to peak in the spring and the multiple Grade 1 winner will look a big price if the first-time blinkers have the desired effect.

Spotlight :
Taken form to a new level this season, rallying gamely to foil more likely stayers upped to 3m1f in the Charlie Hall and topping that with victory in Peterborough Chase (holds Albertas Run); needs to bounce back after breaking blood vessel in King George but should find ground to suit and can get involved if back on song.

Spotlight :
Jumping frailties resurfaced at Ascot last time but ran right up to form, despite a couple of mistakes, when third in last season's Arkle Chase and has continued his improvement this term; should stay, probably has more to offer and has to come into calculations.

Spotlight :
In fine form last spring, finishing close behind Voy Por Ustedes in this race and at Aintree (where he went under by a head after blundering two out); tongue-tie worn then has been missing this season and he has not been quite at his best, albeit running much more encouragingly when third in slowly run Leopardstown Hennessy Gold Cup (3m, soft), fading after mistake last; trip/ground ideal and entitled to be thereabouts.

Spotlight :
2008 RSA Chase winner who fought a losing battle at highest level as second-season chaser but has lost little of his ability, making the most of a bright chance at the weights to beat Planet Of Sound and Voy Por Ustedes at Ascot before being put in his place back on easier ground since (held by Deep Purple on Peterborough Chase running); drying conditions will help and entitled to be thereabouts.

Spotlight :
Found wanting at the top level over 2m by the likes of Master Minded and Twist Magic over the last year and the occasional shortcomings in his jumping were evident against the latter at Ascot most recently; won over extended 2m3f on soft ground early in career in France (and over hurdles in Britain) and blundered away his chance over 2m4f at Aintree in the spring but still has a bit to prove at this trip.

Spotlight :
Something to find with the likes of Petit Robin and Voy Por Ustedes on form here and at Aintree last spring; arguable that he took another step forward when landing Fairyhouse Grade 2 in January and return to further should suit (has form over 3m) but needs to raise game again.

Spotlight :
Had problems and is still relatively lightly raced; off 15 months since trouncing handicap rivals off 151 when a hot favourite at Ascot but has a fine record fresh and, although raced mainly at about 2m and often keen to get on with things, he has won over 2m4f and this has long been seen as a target for him; third in 2007 Arkle and capable of making his presence felt.

Spotlight :
Good claim on official figures and her record at 2m4f/2m5f in Ireland reads 1113131; comes here at top of her form following wide-margin Gowran Park Grade 2 success but appreciates softer ground and, like stablemates, passed over by Ruby Walsh here.

Spotlight :
Much improved for switch to this stable last spring, went close in the Powers Gold Cup (2m4f, good) before proving far too good for below-par Forpadydeplasterer back at 2m in another Grade 1 at Punchestown; unseated before race had developed on latter course in December, injured subsequently and not had an ideal preparation.
