Can front-run; unraced on firmer than good; four AW wins this January-March and he's run well back on turf on last three outings; on the premises if the ground is okay.
Won at Redcar (1m2f, soft; acts on good to firm) early last month; rarely seen beyond 10.4f but shaped as if he got 1m4f when coming from well off the pace to take fourth in amateurs race at York 11 days ago, albeit below form; work to do with third-placed Gibside on that result.
Completed a four-timer last summer for Tony Carroll, the last leg when upped to 11.4f at Windsor; running well in defeat over 1m2f for new yard this season, meeting trouble in running on the heels of Born Ruler at Sandown on latest; each-way chance.
Steadily progressive; has made a solid start to his 2024 campaign with three seconds, on last occasion short of room for a long way at Sandown (1m2f, good to firm) but repeatedly hanging right did not help his cause; has run respectably on sole attempts at 1m3f and 1m4f; cheekpieces are enlisted.
All three wins for Ivan Furtado came over 1m4f at Wolverhampton late in 2021 but he had some comparable turf form in 2022; never involved but more than hinted at retaining ability for new yard at Wetherby (1m2f; 40-1) this month, having missed 2023; market can guide again.
Won here in 2021 and beaten a neck in this race last year on his second visit; well treated on several 2023 efforts but not so good on either of his Flat runs this year and his second at Kelso on latest outing was over hurdles; no win anywhere since July 2021; has tried cheekpieces and a visor, placed in most of them, and now it's blinkers.
Showed his good side to score at Ayr last September and has a 4lb lower mark today, but he was inconsistent last term and has been beaten about 20l in all three starts this season.
Very solid sequence over about 1m2f/1m3f on AW and turf this year, culminating in his win at Beverley 18 days ago; add in a 2-2 record at Carlisle and he has to be on the shortlist, despite going up another 4lb.
Returned to the Flat last spring/summer for three wins (one here) and two seconds; career-best form when close second off this mark at Musselburgh on reappearance this April, which has been followed however by two heavy defeats at Hamilton where he registered one of his wins last term; made most last time, whereas plenty of his success last year came when held up.
Won at Carlisle (1m3f) and York (1m4f; readily) last summer and he returned to winning ways when delivering a late challenge at Catterick (1m6f, good to firm) this month; good third of 18 from off the pace in amateurs event at York (1m4f) one week later; failed to shine in this race last year but soft ground was probably against him; firmly in the picture.
Second or third in the last four of his five races, best form when front-running second of six at Leicester (1m4f, good to soft) last time in his second handicap; easily worst result was on debut on his sole outing on good to firm; major player judged on the latest effort.
9yo who's best known for his performances at Ayr (five wins) and Hamilton (three); runner-up here once last summer; 1lb above his last winning mark (from last September) and latest start is easy to forgive, because of 1m5f and a marked step up in class, but he's usually seen at up to 1m2f.
