Admirable veteran whose 11 course wins include this race last year off 10lb higher; unplaced in his last 12 starts but beaten less than 3l into fifth of nine here last time and the winner has gone in again twice since; hard to rule out
Gained his sixth win over C&D last June and is now back off the same mark; again ran well when third of nine in an amateur riders' event here 11 days ago and the runner-up has won since; major player, especially if getting a good pace to aim at.
Ran well when second of 12 over C&D five weeks ago (third has won twice since) but he has a moderate strike (3-48) so wouldn't be sure to build on that.
3lb lower than when winning at Redcar (6f, good to firm) in August but his efforts since don't suggest he can take advantage; his C&D win as a 3yo was his only AW success in 21 attempts.
Better effort when third of 11 here (7f) 11 days ago; that was only a 0-50 classified event, but he suggested the return to this trip may suit and he remains unexposed after just four starts.
All six wins have come here, including two over this trip; not beaten far into fourth of eight here (5f) on New Year's Day and a couple of winners have come out of that race, but a losing run of 23 is a concern.
Responded well to the fitting of cheekpieces when narrowly off the mark on stable debut in a 0-50 classified event at Catterick (7f, good; 40-1) in August, but has not shown enough since to suggest he will be doubling his tally.
Eight wins here, the latest off 3lb higher last March; return to this trip should suit after three runs over further, but he is hard to predict these days.
Made all on her Ayr reappearance (7f, good) last May but poor since and she failed to beat a rival in her last two starts here (7f); blinkers given a go this time and they will need to make a difference.
