Close second (subsequently awarded race) in a Newbury novice hurdle (2m4f, soft) last December but he's not lived up to that in his four starts since; final run last term was a 3m handicap, while reappearance was chase debut at Ffos Las, and he was beaten too far in both to prompt huge appeal but this looks an uncompetitive race.
Career-low mark when scoring at Uttoxeter and followed up in another small field over C&D (again on good; from Zacony Rebel) last month; still on a competitive mark but well beaten at Wetherby yesterday when back on soft ground.
Went close in his only point; just five starts under rules and showed significant ability in two, including when he stayed on for 10l second on his switch to fences/handicaps at Warwick (3m1f, good to soft) in January with first-time cheekpieces; absent since but his stable is in good form.
Acts on soft; progressive hurdler from last December to this May, including four wins at 3m to 3m2f; the remote finish on chasing debut one month ago came after a break and over a much shorter trip, so it's possible that he will be much more interesting this time; market may well guide.
Hurdle winner here; 3-27 over fences, with the latest win in May 2024 and that's despite plummeting in the weights; first-time cheekpieces are now called on and this is only her second run beyond 2m5f, having been well beaten over 3m at Ludlow on latest outing; others preferred.
Rarely seen on soft ground, although hurdles winner on it in 2022; clicked in first-time blinkers at Worcester (2m4f, good) in July and clearly best effort since when second of four to Fern Hill over C&D last time; inconsistent but has a chance in this small field.
