Flopped badly when favourite at Hexham last month and needs to put that behind him but looked in good nick when making all for clearcut success at Hereford (3m1f, good) two runs ago; dangerous if back at that level.

Lion Of The Desert
Improving 6yo who kept on resolutely to score over C&D (good to firm) 19 days ago and has now won three times since the spring; another 5lb higher now but a likely contender again.

Charging Thunder
Not at best on the Flat this year (albeit still capable of useful form) and managed only fourth of six when warm favourite for latest hurdle race, at Worcester (2m, good) in May; that said, he's a stout stayer on the Flat and could have untapped potential over this new trip over jumps.

Hillview
Regressive 10yo who has been lightly raced in recent years and returned from a break with two low-key runs this spring; pulled up (lost action) in first-time cheekpieces (retained) recently; revival needed.

Slightly disappointing at Perth last week but was placed on consecutive outings beforehand, once over C&D on fast ground; swaps blinkers for refitted visor (worn once on Flat in 2020); no surprise if she's on the premises.
