His form was patchy in the spring but he didn't run badly at Warwick (2m5f, good) in May when last seen and is now 1lb lower than when winning at Chepstow (2m, heavy) last October; goes well fresh and is not ruled out.
Won when back over hurdles at Worcester (2m7f, good) in August and followed up there (2m4f, good) last month; all three jumps wins have come at the same course but he can also be effective elsewhere; strong claims.
Below best at Market Rasen (2m4f, good) in July last time but in career-best form previously, winning two in a row (including over C&D on good) before close fifth at Cartmel; returns from 78-day break and could bounce back with a big performance.
Made it 3-8 over hurdles (about 2m4f, good-heavy) when winning at Catterick in February; his progressive ways stalled somewhat in the spring but this lightly raced 7yo returns from a break with his trainer in good form and could have more to offer; he's one to consider.
Disappointing on the Flat last time and his hurdles form has been mixed; however, he has shown aptitude in this code and he won two in a row on the Flat in the summer; first-time blinkers replace cheekpieces and he has potential off his hurdle mark in view of his Flat ability; not ruled out.
Displayed promise in 3m points and has improved with each of his three runs in novice hurdles, going close at Hexham (2m, good) in June most recently; the step up in trip could be a positive on handicap debut; respected.
Went close on the Flat at Hamilton (1m5f, good) in June and won over hurdles at Cartmel (2m1f, soft) in July; disappointing at Cartmel in August but this C&D winner may be able to leave that latest effort behind.
