2-2 for Charlie Appleby, the first win coming here (8.6f) in November 2020 and the second when just getting the better of the subsequent Group 1 winner Scope at Newmarket (1m2f, good to firm) in April 2021; has undergone wind surgery and been gelded since and, having been picked up for 12,000gns in September, he returns for his new yard in a tongue-tie; the market should be most revealing.
Twilight Son gelding; 52,000 yearling; brother to Group-placed 5f/6f winner Twilight Calls (RPR 115), closely related to Greek 5.5f-6.5f winner Boundless; dam placed 6f/7f 2yo (80), closely related to 1m/1m1f Group 3 winner Kick On and 5.5f Listed winner Sabratah; enough in his pedigree to make him worth monitoring in the market on belated debut, especially in relation to stablemate Toralou.
Has shown ability on Tapeta as when runner-up here (7f) in her last two starts; BHA-rated just 65 and far from solid, but her guaranteed fitness should count for something in this field.
Sent off 15-2 for her Haydock debut (6f, good to soft) in July 2023 and only found a subsequent dual Group 3 winner half a length too strong; not seen since but respected, especially if positive in the market; half sister to an AW winner.
