Ended his time with Alex French by winning a Newcastle handicap last October (5f; well backed); picked up for 4,000gns by new connections later that month and given a wind op; beaten at odds-on at Newcastle on his stable debut but made no mistake at Southwell last week (tongue tied first time), winning decisively despite drifting to his right in the final furlong; penalised and now has a left-hand bend to negotiate but it could be that he's a cut above this level.
