Two wins in France and he's gone close in two of his five starts in Britain, short-headed over C&D on latest (the third won this Wednesday next time); that latest run has to put him into calculations.
Useful for Roger Varian in his youth, notably third in the Group 3 Diomed Stakes in 2023; struggled in Hong Kong last year and last of 14 for new yard at Kempton (7f; 12-1) one month ago, so there are reservations for now.
Comfortably held on sole start here (2024) but he's 11-30 overall on AW, with the latest win by a head in a seller at Newcastle (1m, Tapeta) in October; has since changed hands and left the Moores; while plenty of 2025 form gives him a good shout, he needs a bit better than recent efforts.
His last win was off 11lb higher but in April 2024; short-headed over C&D this March off 9lb higher and not far away on occasions since; absent four months before well held under Charlie Bell at Southwell two weeks ago and perhaps needed that run, but other runners are more persuasive.
1m winner at Southwell in October and went in again over C&D 11 days ago; comes from off the pace, which requires some luck, and today's rival Hitched maybe didn't get it when second to him last time but this 6yo makes plenty of appeal as a conspicuously in-form candidate.
Most of his AW success has been on Polytrack but he's effective here, as shown again when second to Tribal Wisdom over C&D 11 days ago; had to wait before he could make his bid that day, so looks a major player.
Won his first three races in France (2022) but none of his 16 races since; returned from wind surgery to finish on the heels of the leaders three times over 1m this autumn (once on Southwell Tapeta) but has fared less well since, never dangerous back at Southwell latest; others preferred.
Some minor honours here and occasional winner elsewhere, most recently when making all at Chelmsford (1m, Polytrack; 3lb higher today) in August on first start for this trainer; not far away on his next five starts but he was a lot less competitive when slow starts hindered him over 6f on last two outings; worth a second look back up in trip.
