0-7 on the Flat for Charlie Fellowes, with best run a close second on Polytrack in September (1m6f; RPR 64; wore cheekpieces); sold for 16,000gns in October and joined good stable for hurdling career; no headgear today.
2-9 on the Flat for Charlie Johnston, the latter win gained at Wolverhampton (1m4f, AW; RPR 81) in October; changed hands for 26,000gns soon afterwards; looks a good candidate for juvenile hurdles.
Displayed promise on all three 1m Flat starts in August/September but well beaten on first two hurdling starts (bled from the nose last time); hood added today.
0-4 on the Flat in Ireland but ran well when third in 15-runner Curragh maiden (1m2f, yielding to soft; RPR 82) in September; subsequently joined Dan Skelton for hurdling career; high on the list.
Showed some useful middle-distance Flat form for James Ferguson but ran poorly (albeit on soft ground) on stable debut in October and was soundly beaten when switched to hurdles at Catterick last month; has a point to prove.
Attracted good market support before last month's debut at Musselburgh (1m7f, good to soft), where he was running well until hanging badly left and losing position on turn out of back straight; this switch to a left-handed track looks the right move and it will be interesting to see whether his supporters give him another chance; tongue-tie added.
0-8 on the Flat; gave good account when third at Kempton (1m4f, AW; RPR 70) in May but two lesser efforts followed and some of the other hurdling debutants in this line-up are more appealing.
Runner-up in two low-grade Flat handicaps at around 1m4f this year (blinkered) and filled same position on last month's hurdling debut at Fontwell (2m1f, good to soft; wore cheekpieces); can give another good account here but others probably have more potential.
Gelded in August and displayed considerable improvement on both subsequent Flat starts, winning by 15l on heavy ground at Salisbury before soft-ground second here (also 1m2f; RPR 83); no surprise if he features on this hurdling debut; hood added.
Dual Flat winner (once on soft ground) when based in Ireland and built upon promising stable/hurdle debut when winning fillies' race at Hereford (good) last month; carries a penalty and takes on males here but her proven hurdling ability counts for a lot.
