Now only 2lb higher than for last season's clear course win (2m7f, good), but made disappointing reappearance at Newbury last month and was easily swallowed up after moving clear in home straight there three weeks ago.
Runner-up off today's mark in big-field handicap at 2024 Aintree festival (3m, good to soft) but seen only twice since, more recently when soundly beaten on chase debut last October; considered only if lively in betting.
2-6 over hurdles, the latter win gained in Perth handicap (2m4f, good to soft) in April; disappointing favourite when back in action last month but may still have potential.
Won for Elliott England off reduced mark at Ludlow (2m5f, good to soft) in February and was creditable second at Cheltenham (2m4f, good) in April; below that form last month, though, and younger rivals appeal more.
Very well handicapped on form shown for Dan Skelton but out of sorts for current stable since February (four runs; cheekpieces added last time); revival needed.
May have been perked up by change of headgear when making all to land good prize at Plumpton (2m4f, good) last month, and is now 4-11 over hurdles; 6lb rise demands more from him here; still considered.
2-3 over hurdles, with both wins gained in four-runner novice events on good ground this season (2m7f/2m4f); has a lot more on his plate in this handicap but it's hard to gauge the limit of his ability.
Won two points in early part of this year and returned to racing under rules with some good efforts for new stable this summer/autumn, most notably when winning handicap here (2m3f, good) in early November; ought to remain very competitive after 3lb rise.
Yet to make any significant further improvement since winning Newcastle maiden (2m4f, good to soft) in January but wasn't beaten far when fifth at Wincanton (1m7f, good to soft; first run after wind op) a fortnight ago and should be better suited by today's trip; might be the answer.
Scored at Lingfield (2m3f, soft) a year ago and may not have been ideally suited by the heavy ground when well-held second over that C&D in January, but has fitness to prove after 322-day absence.
Returned from break with fairly good third at Newton Abbot (2m1f, good to soft) in October and will be fine over today's trip but this regressive 10yo was safely held when last in action and is not the percentage call.
Won small-field chase off reduced mark in the spring but was soundly beaten on both starts this season, latterly when back over hurdles here (2m7f, good) last month, and is evidently not the force of old.
