Ga Law
Approaching two years since his last win and he has mistakes in him; however, he ran surprisingly well when third to Gaelic Warrior in a Grade 2 at Sandown (2m6f, good) in April and he might well come on for his comeback effort in the Charlie Hall; with Isabelle Ryder good value for the 7lb claim he's not entirely ruled out.

Threeunderthrufive
C&D winner who was third behind Victtorino in this last year and pushed that same horse to a nose back here in February, after which he was pulled up in the Grand National and Sandown's big chase in April; nor did he run much of a race in last month's Badger Beer (after another wind op) and now has a bit to prove, for all that returning here has to rate a positive.

Henry's Friend
Strong form when fending off respected opposition over C&D (good; fine on softer) in early November (when 3lb lower) and it wasn't his first no show at Cheltenham when tailed off there last week; better expected back here.

Victtorino
Goes on any ground; four wins from five visits to Ascot include the last two editions of this race; finished third in the Coral Gold Cup at Newbury last season prior to arriving here, whereas he never figured in that race 21 days ago; still commands the utmost respect back here off what's a competitive mark.

Leave Of Absence
It was his first real blip over fences when reportedly unsuited by the soft ground in a Listed novice chase at Cheltenham last time; conditions might be a concern once more and the handicapper hit him hard for his two previous wins; prominent racer who usually jumps well.

Two For Gold
Has run plenty of good races at this track, though not in this 12 months ago when pulled up; also well held behind Henry's Friend here last month and he turns 13 very soon; looks vulnerable.

Johnnywho
Went down by a neck in last season's Kim Muir at Cheltenham (3m2f, good to soft) after travelling much the best and then didn't appear to stay 3m5f in the Irish National; remains a chaser of interest and smacked of one who would come on for the race when beaten only 8l in the Grand Sefton at Aintree (2m5f); on the shortlist over what could be his optimum trip.

Hyland
Good or good to soft seems ideal; remains on a realistic mark despite enjoying such a productive novice campaign last season and he ran well for a long way in the Coral Gold Cup three weeks ago; held back by his jumping on occasions but has a big run in him.

Blow Your Wad
A lot of his chase form is at 2m4f but he was a big market mover when upped to this trip here last month and he saw it out fine to be a close third on his first run back from a second wind operation (first-time visor); the return of cheekpieces is no negative but he hasn't always followed one good run with another.

Deep Cave
Won a big-field 3m handicap hurdle at last season's Grand National meeting and was having only his fourth run over fences when doing it nicely at Bangor (3m, soft) last month; still looks well treated off only 4lb higher and he's got time on his side to keep progressing.

Pic Roc
Patchy profile over fences (1-9) but easily dominated a small-field non-handicap at Huntingdon last month; was one of the big market movers in the Coral Gold Cup at Newbury but lost all chance when behind early after a standing start; didn't do at all badly to finish fifth and he could still be open to improvement; might be better handicapped than some in here.

Transmission
Has been a Cheltenham regular over fences and was competitive off this sort of mark there last season; that's not been the case this campaign but he should turn a corner at some point.
