Back in good form on Newcastle AW since returning from absence, with narrow defeats over 1m4f and 1m2f either side of a win over the latter trip, when needing every yard of it to prevail close home; having first course run but should continue the good work.

Cannon Rock
C&D novice winner; has flourished since back on AW of late, never giving an inch in a thrilling finish at Kempton (1m3f; blinkers replaced cheekpieces) last month, then won going away at Wolverhampton (1m4f) since; back up 5lb but that's not too harsh given his earlier form; bang there.

Codiak
Has worn headgear for all five runs; was only marginally outstayed on handicap debut at Redcar (1m6f; off 7lb lower) and the return to 1m4f suited when galloping clear of an ordinary field in a Wolverhampton novice since; should be open to some improvement but his mettle will be tested.

Robusto
Often leads; weighted to go well on C&D form last May and he ran another useful race when runner-up 12 days ago when back under the same conditions for the first time since; bold show likely in this easier grade.

Course wins over 1m3f and 1m4f last winter; latest success was on Lingfield Polytrack (1m4f) this month but things didn't pan out so well when flying home to take a late third there on Saturday; every chance of being involved back on this more galloping track.

Moon Sniper
Acts well on the other two Tapeta courses, winning at Newcastle in the autumn and losing out in a flurry of heads at Wolverhampton (both at 1m4f); fair effort over 1m6f after Christmas and may yet do better in truly run race back at this trip on course debut.
