Improved form lately in easily winning a Downpatrick maiden hurdle before adding a Tramore beginners' chase (2m, good), keeping on well; his chase win was the least impressive of the three last-time winners, but not ruled out given his good form.
1-5 over hurdles and rated 121; unseated at the third on chase debut at Leopardstown in March; made amends when comfortably winning at Ballinrobe last time (2m1f, good); that run gives him a shot here.
Top-rated of these over hurdles (133), winning four from ten; trounced his four rivals on chasing debut at Limerick in May (2m4f, good to yielding), jumping fluently and travelling strongly; that was a very promising first run over fences and he can make it back-to-back wins despite dropping back in trip.
Won back-to-back handicaps at Cork (2m1f, good) and Tipperary (2m, good to yielding) in August/October; hasn't hit the same heights in three runs since, beaten 16.5l at this track last time (2m1f, good to yielding); unplaced in three points so this switch to chasing may not bring the required improvement.
Won back-to-back hurdle races in August/September on good ground; creditable fourth at this track in May (2m1f, good) but below that at Listowel last time; makes chasing debut, but has a lot to find with a few of these.
Won his second hurdles start at Limerick in November (2m, heavy) and placed a couple of times since then; beaten 23l off 105 at Roscommon last time on chase debut (2m1f, yielding to soft); others make more appeal.
1-11 over hurdles having won a Downpatrick handicap off 86 in August (2m2f, good); made a bad mistake when tailed off on chasing bow at Wexford last time (2m4f, good); others preferred.
