His only race on firmer than good was on debut, when runner-up; sole win came in a 1m Ffos Las maiden as 3yo; that's from nine races and despite being favourite in his last five handicaps but all three starts this season (1m2f, 1m and 1m1f; never nearer at evens last time) confirmed that he is well capable of being seriously involved.
Sole win from 16 races came in France (9.5f, AW) as a 2yo; sinking in the weights and well handicapped judged on plenty of 2025 French form, with a step back in the right direction when fifth of 14 at Sandown (1m2f) on penultimate start; not at all discredited in a hot race here 13 days ago when the move up to 1m4f may have stretched him; wore first-time cheekpieces that day and blinkers are now given a go; not dismissed.
He's had a long career but never been better than this season, winning at Wolverhampton (9.4f) and Lingfield (1m4f) with a close third in between; they were all on AW in March/April under Olivia Tubb and he's not raced since, with turf runs in the last two years hinting that he's not quite so good in this sphere; also, the last time he raced on firmer than good was 2022.
Made the running when 1m2f handicap winner (good to firm) this year at Doncaster and Beverley; 25-1 and again set the pace when fourth of five in Listed race at Beverley (1m4f) 13 days ago, which was another good run but whether it's worth another 3lb rise in today's mark can be questioned.
AW and dual turf winner over about 1m2f last April-June; some minor honours in his November-March campaign in the UAE, mostly on dirt, without reproducing best efforts; tongue tied first time for today's return from four months off and he needs to be back at his peak; has a bit to prove on firmer than good (after one attempt) but his yard is among the winners.
Dual AW winner last November who also took a handicap at Newmarket (1m, good) in April; unsurprisingly lost her unbeaten record in the 1,000 Guineas (80-1) and her handicap at Royal Ascot (again 1m on good to firm; 25-1) was pretty tough too but she was well beaten in the latter; this should be vastly more manageable and there's more than enough stamina in her family to boost interest.
