Minor honours over 1m3f/1m4f in his two Flat handicaps this term (his last runs for Alan King) prior to his creditable second 19 days ago for new yard over hurdles; should be a serious player.
Unraced on good to firm except on debut (fourth); won twice from five starts as 2yo and creditable fourth of ten here on reappearance; faded right out of it at Newmarket (also 1m on good) four weeks later, which sees him visored today with a step up in trip; may need overall improvement.
Didn't look straightforward when the race got serious on last two outings but he was nevertheless better at keeping a straight line when cheekpieces were enlisted for six-runner maiden at Sandown (1m2f, good) last time and stuck his neck out well to win by 1l; some improvement is probably needed going handicapping but he has to be considered seriously in this small field.
A string of minor honours but no win from his eight races; disappointing on good to firm at Ascot in May, in between showing his best form at Kempton (1m3f, AW) and Sandown (1m2f, good); blinkers were fitted for that latest start, when he came from the back for fifth of 12 despite carrying his head high, and this race is markedly less competitive.
